Can sport flares be modified to fit 4runner without flares?

Came across some sport flares that match my 4runner. ..but my 4runner does not come with flare option. My 4runner has no holes for them.

I assume you're talking about the SR5 bushwacker style. Yes although it's hard and risky to do with the cutting of many holes above and around all four wheel wells. [MENTION=46329]blcktpgsr[/MENTION] did it Here and although I think it's worth it, appearance wise, I'd be nervous about doing it on my own 4Runner if I didnt have them.

By the way, SR5 trim is just the flares. The Limited's have the cadding across the bottom of the doors. There's also a Highlander type flare that's a little more hard to come by but doesn't require any drilling/cutting into the sides of your 4Runner.

My rig didn't come with flares either, but I installed some new Bushwackers less than a month ago. If you have the cash, the install took me four hours...and the only holes required in the body were isolated to the rear doors. It would certainly be less painful on you and your rig. Just my two cents...good luck regardless. Doc

Measure 10 times, THEN cut/drill keep that in mind if you do it yourself

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. I totally agree about being nervous drilling holes into the body. Especially the quarters. Maybe I can make a template. I'll study the post about the flares.

Yes measure 20 times if i have to..the flares I acquired are matching color and I personally like the sport look. Thanks
