can the carpet from a 2nd gen be made to fit 1st gen?

The cabin carpet form a 2nd gen is one solid piece, and the 1st gen is two pieces, Can I pull a 2nd gen carpet and install it on a 1ST GEN? They look very similar, has anyone done it?

Seems like I have seen complete carpet kits for 1st gen on Ebay. Too bad my work blocks ebay or I would look it up.

Yeah, $200+ is way more than I wan to spend right now. So how about it is there a way to make the 2nd gen carpet work?

Bad like one of the generations is wider then the other across the inside. I dont remember the detail, I didn't get past the measuring tape part...

It Looks awsome, but can't be installed as one piece. Only the front section is usable, so it the back section has to be cut off. The back part in NOT usable. the front fits great, but has to be trimmed about one inch on the sides.
Cost $17 for the carpet at pick your part. $4Tuff Stuff upholstery cleaner and $50 for new front floor mats.

you're welcome. Also the insulation on the old carpet was some kind of cotton-like padding, It smelled like 20+ years of spilled drinks. The newer insulation is foam.
