Can you press out a shock eye?

I think you can. Here's my story. I picked up a 5th gen Trd suspension with 8k on it and I am told I need to trim the front shock eye by 1/16 -1/8. I can do this but I think a smarter way to go would be to press out the old shock eye and press it in to the Trd anyone fo this or know if it is possible?

You can. I had to pull them out of revtek shock and put them into a HD 1/2 ton shocks that where longer years ago.

You can...but doing it without destroying them is a little tough. I pressed out the eyes of a pair of rear TRD shocks I installed. The "stock" eye is a metal sleeve, rubber piece, and the metal internal sleeve. I sprayed them with a bit of PB blaster the day or two before and heated the eye up with a heatgun a bit to soften the adhesive. With a big c-clamp and various sockets I was able to get them to pop right out. I'd assume you can do that with both sets.

Or you can use a big file or use sanding disc and keep it cooled down with water before rubber gets too hot.
