The 2 black lines that are left unplugged ??
Im seen other 5vz's and they dont have these..
and I had another question if anyone knows about salvaged cars..
I bout my runner from the impound and the hood been replaced with a pick a part one which has a different vin will the dmv trip that there's a different vin?? Should I heat gun it up and pill it off?
Any input appreciated thanks

I am guessing here. I went and looked at my 2001 and I do not have those. They may be the coolant lines for the optional rear heater. Those lines have been known to corrode and owners have cut of the corroded part and capped the other end.. Other than that I have no more guesses

Those are your rear heater lines. If you follow those lines under the passenger side you'll see them enter the car just after the front passenger door. Chances are the rear heater lines rusted through, and rather than replacing them the PO just disconnected them.

Yup have the same thing on mine. And it doesn't even bother me. Plus the Inside of the 4runner are small so the heat from the front quickly warms the whole car !!
