Can you turn off the Nannies?

As the thread title says....on the newest 4Runners there are a lot of electrical nannies for people that don't pay attention while driving. Considering a new 4R but if they cannot be turned off, that would be a bummer.

Just starting my research into this, and thought to ask the experts here about it first.

You can turn off the stupid lane departure thing, but not TSS. And you can only turn off a few of the maddening beeps from under the hood dealing with doors open, etc. My 2020 has way to many annoying beeps - it's the only thing I really hate about it.

PCS and Lane Departure can be turned off. You can also ride with standard cruise instead of adaptive. Turning off PCS gives you an annoying light in the instrument cluster. I believe there is a tech bulletin to permanently disable it but again, you're stuck with the annoying light on the dash

Yeah, considering that. But new is the same price in many cases.

So a dash light I'm good with, electrical tape will take care of it. Thanks jetmechG550; I do not like adaptive cruise nor the thing beeping at me.

I have read that covering the camera can disable the system....

Are you talking about the panic braking assist, or whatever they call it? That "feature" is on my 2015 and hasn't changed.
