:roadkill: Went Palo Duro Canyon this weekend with my family. Beautiful place! After they left to go home, I went on up to the Canadian River in the Texas Panhandle. This place is the ultimate offroad paradise. It has everything all in 1 location. There is river riding, sand hills, mud, rock climbing , and extreme hill climbing! Trails range from level 1 to 5. There is something for every skill level.
I did see a sad site today. I came across a 4Runner. There was a family from India inside. The rear half was buried up to the spare tire. The 4 wheel drive didn't work and a Heep Cherokee was trying to figure out how to pull him out without a hitch. I ran him off and pulled them to safety. I then went and rescued a new Heep Grand Cherokee that had submerged itself. This guy had water in the floor boards. I examined his engine and thought it was a case of hydraulic lock! He had found the only deep spot in this river of 6 to 12"s.
These pics are of the minor spots on the trail. The rest was too intense for me too take pics of. I hope to go back tomorrow with a camera man. It looks to be too windy to climb wind turbines.
