Canadian Vent Visors

after much searching, I'd like to buy the canadian version of the vent visors, unfortunately, this site is down...does anyone know where I can get these things? thanks

weathertech seemed pricey and I'm a bit leery about the in channel visors.

I had a set of the in channel vent visors. I noticed more wind noise after I installed them. I took them off and the wind noise is still there. Now they just sit in the garage. I liked the look and function but the noise was just too much.

Maybe the in channels stretched out the the channels and thats why the wind noise continued.

I wouldn't mind a set of the regulars but I hate putting the double sided tape on there .

Lou , what or why the Canadian version ?? educate me ...

I see , thanks . I've had the sick on vent shade brand on my chevy and the in channel weathertech on my Tahoe and ford escape. tahoe is gone , but the one's on my Ford escape have been on since 04 and still going strong and never had an issue.

I canadians are nice looking but I'm kind of done with the with the whole double sided tape thing. Those did come off a few times and had to retape them.

The stick-on ones do blend in well with teh 4Runners windows and I've got that type and mine have been on for 4 years now with no probs and never had to retape them....yet.

+2. the first week when i got my 4R, i put in the in-channel visor for 1 day. ONLY 1 DAY. i couldn't stand on the excessive wind noise. i took it out and instructed by the service manager, yanked out the window channels and "massage" them so they will flex back to original shape. no more wind noise afterward.

but i am still thinking the 3M canadian type. at least i know for sure that will not ruin the shape of the window channels and should not produce any wind noise.

so any idea where we can order the canadian one?

I've been looking for them too. I couldn't find any online and was thinking of just emailing one of the dealers up there for a price quote to ship them here. Since these are OEM Canada I'm guessing that's the only way to get them but was hoping at least one site would have them listed.

Long time lurker, first post....are these Canadian vent visors anywhere still to be found?

I like the look of these best of anything I've seen, even the in channel variety. Thought it'd be a long shot but wanted to see if anyone had any input.

Ps - i did email a dealer in Canada who just said they were discontinued.

I installed original Toyota (Japan market) visors. VERY EXPENSIVE, But sooo worth it. The adhesive still good after nearly 5years and the finish still looks like new. I can provide pics if you want, let me know.

No problem! But, do realize the AVS are not the best and the weathertechs drive some people insane (like me). The AVS's I installed on my brother's RAV4 have oxidized and leak like a siv. This after only 10 months. The weathtech's "tight fit" is flawed as they sometimes make make a click sound when the windows closes. Just throwing it out there.

I have/had the original Toyotas put on when she was bought new. Love them. I however, lost one on the highway from the drivers front (After being on for nearly 7 years). went to the dealership to replace it. I was told cant get them for previous generations from them. They apparently only carry the current generation if at all. So I had to go with an aftermarket one and kept all the rest original. The replacement was slightly different but not enough that it is too obvious. Great addition regardless of which type you get. I use them all the time. Mine are the stick on ones. Didn't opt for the in-channel ones because of what I read about them loosening the window channel and allowing the window to rattle.
