Candles for heating while sleeping inside?

On my December Trip to Alabama Hills, it got down to 28 deg at night and it snowed. I slept in my tent with a 30 deg sleeping bag and 32 Deg Heat long Johns. To help keep me warm, I added two Super Warmers by Hot Hand in my sleeping bag and I was nice and warm. The 2nd night I used 3 and it was getting too hot so I took one out. Place them in your sleeping bag before you go to sleep and you’ll have a nice warm sleeping bag when you get in.

Buy a nice high quality goose down (not duck down) sleeping bag from Western Mountaineering or Feathered Friends. Buy once and sleep warm forever.

Candles are common as a last resort emergency warmth source for cavers.

Another option is boiling water and putting it in a nalgene. Sleep with it between you legs for added heat. (aka beaver bottle).

I 2nd this. Used to do this when I was hiking. Put a sock over the bottle to slow the heat transfer and it will pretty much last all night. And be sure to put it between your legs. It heats the blood flowing through the main artery there and as it flows through your body it warms you from the inside out.
