Can't find a TRD Off Road Premium

Was gonna respond to your last thread before it got closed. It's a common problem if you read around here enough. My recommendation is to find a good dealer that is happy to get you the exact vehicle you want, given that you know what you're looking for from your last post!
I couldn't find a Limited in California without the 3rd row. A dealership in Reno was willing to pay for my plane flight and one night in a hotel to make a deal. No dealer in my local area was willing to make those kind of concessions. I got a good deal on the truck too after in-person negotiations. Dealers close to me dragged their feet and made me feel like a hassle.. or gave some kind of crap about shipping fees. I'd say give some dealerships a call, especially the ones further "out there" where they tend to be more willing to do business than the high-volume dealerships in urban areas.

I got the 2016 Trail Premium (basically the same thing) and had to hit up local dealers to see who could get the allotment. I found one that could get it and waited and it was worth it.
For further info, dealt with Glendora Toyota. Had to wait a month, but again, worth it. And before that was locked down, called many other local dealers.

There were a handful of them in the Bay Area about two weeks ago when we bought ours. The dealership we bought ours from (Dublin toyota) had two identical Magnetic Greys with KDSS. They said someone was coming up from LA for one and we ended up with the other. Sounds like a lot of people are traveling for them.

Autonation toyota in Vegas has a white one listed. Everyone needs an excuse to go to Vegas!
This. Don't limit your search to CA. I got what I wanted in AZ. 1 way tix to AZ. Salesman picked me up at the airport. 1 hr later I was on my way to Southern California in my new '16 TEP. Saved around $1500 compared to CA dealers.

I ended up buying a Nautical Blue 2017 TRD Offroad Premium in Phoenix from Camelback Toyota. I wanted a 2016 trail or 2017 trd offroad without a sunroof or kdss which really limited my options. I ended up getting a fair deal and handled everything over the phone/email. It worked out great because I am coming back to Socal from a business trip and have to pass through Phoenix anyway. I tried to find one in California but they either sold fast or the dealer didn't want to move on the price. I am pumped to pick it up.

Be aware that you will have to have it smogged and submit some DMV paperwork, but the dealership should have everything prepped for you so all you have to do is drop off the paperwork and wait for the plates. Don't get me started on why we have to pay the state to have it smogged, that's a whole other story.

If you can swing the trip to Vegas, check out here. 3 Toyota dealers, I bought mine (TRD Off Road Premium) at Centennial Toyota, all they had was '17 TRD Off Roads, I didn't even know at the time that they weren't trails anymore... They had 3 on the lot, I had a bad situation with my divorce and paid a bit more than I should have but I wanted white and they said wait a week and they would have one, Black was my second choice and they had exactly what I wanted in black on the lot so I bought it.... If you go there tell them I sent you (I can message you my name and phone number) and I'll split the 200$ referral commission with you! Latoya is the name of the internet sales lady I worked with... She was extremely friendly and helpful.
I live in northern BC and the nearest Toyota dealer is 1 1/2 hours away.
To top that off he has no 4 Runners. I asked him how am I to buy a 4 Runner without sitting in one?
I am 6'5" and I am not sure I can fit. All new Canadian 4 runners have moon roof and as I understand it that takes at least 1" of headroom away.
He says he will call when something comes along that I can sit in. That was 3 weeks ago.
My wife is putting pressure on me so I do not know how long I can put her off.
The next dealer is 6 hours away and we can't go that far in winter.
Talk about frustration!

It seems more like 2" of lost headroom with a sunroof. Is it a Canadian thing to include the sunroof? I have a 2017 Offroad Premium with no sunroof. It was difficult to find.

Well with a bit of perseverance and some luck I was able to find off road premium at Camelback Toyota in Phoenix Arizona. Got a fair deal, worked with them via email, flew out, they picked me up from the airport, in and out of the dealer in an hour and half! Nice guys, best vehicle demo i've ever had, and the bonus was I got a road trip out of it. No better way to get to know my new 4Runner!

I live in SoCal as well. Only found one in Riverside and they wanted $1500 above MSRP. I bought mine in Tempe. AutoNation Toyota. I got a great deal. Paid under the MSRP...
I literally picked it up this past Saturday and drove it back Sunday.
