Cant find one of these anywhere!!!

I am looking for a new master cylinder cap with the fluid level sensor. turns out mine is bad and is keeping my brake light on so i cant use my cruise. anyone know where to find one of these? i have searched and found nothing. all the parts places i have checked (including rockauto) dont have them. i really dont want to buy a new master just for a cap.

First thing you should b4 start replacing parts is, adjust your brake light switch, and if that doesn't fix your problem test the switch it may be bad.

you mean the switch on the parking brake? its fine. the brake light is dim. can really only see it at night, and gets bright when i pull the brake. i got it to turn off for about 5 min after moving the wires around where they go into the top of the cap.

when this problem first came up, i was driving at night and the light would dim in and out randomly and it would kick off the cruise

but this switch isnt related to the dash brake light....guess i should have said it was the dash light thats on....

Got a picture of the harness connector? Diameter of the reservior opening? I'm parting a 22RE truck, the caps might be interchangeable.

When mine started going bad I just hot wired the connection at the cap, but I do stuff like that...

i will get a photo off it later today.it should be interchangeable. its a 92 3.slow 4x4 if that matters.

didnt these second gens get larger bore masters comared to the first gens? i think i remember reading about it somewhere...:nerd:

i dont have a tape measure or anything to measure the cap with. hope this photo helps. also, i unplugged it and the light went out.

That's weird my 94 doesnt have any wiring for that.
