Car alarm randomly goes off - help please

So I have a strange issue I haven't run into before. My 06 limiteds car alarm randomly goes off with no warning and for no reason at all. Has anyone seen this before and have any suggestions on how to turn the sensitivity down or anything that will solve this?

Pretty annoying when I leave my car at a friend's place or at work and I get a call because my alarm is going off with no way to turn it off...

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Looking forward to doing this as a quick fix, but am still mystified why it is happening in the 1st place. Also going to look for the sensor box under the steering column.

Mine did this and it was the keyfob. Got a new one from ebay.

I am experiencing this as well. How did you determine it was the key fob and that a fob replacement (instead of, say, a new battery) was the necessary solution.

Mine did this as well. I changed the battery in my key fob and didn’t have it happen again. There’s a thread in here detailing it, it’s probably posted above already.
