Just read the Car and Driver SUV article. They dumped on the 4Runner because of the hood scoop, head room and a/c controls, rated it second to last. I guess, looking at the other SUV's, that reliablity, fit and finish and drive line are not worth considering when looking at a new SUV.
I don't have a hood scoop, the head room is fine with me and I really like the a/c controls. I was surprised that they did not consider value or quality in their ratings. I guess that's the difference between the media and real life. They don't have to consider taking the vehicle home for a few years (or more). The 4Runner is having a tough time, not only with CR, but now Car and Driver. I wish they would advertise more so they would get better ratings. A good review can't cost that much, can it?
