I hate to bring this back but, I just had the time to go over the scoring for this comparison and I can see how they could come up with whatever score they needed to make any one vehicle look better or bad. Check it out!

They scored based on 23 categories, some of which are ridiculous and very subjective.

The 23 categories should have been grouped and the points should have been curved according to their subjective-ness.

The difference between 1st place (Jeep) -190 points and 5th place (4Runner) -171 points, is 19 points. But when you look at the way they scored the points it

KOZ, good analysis. You should send it to C&D. I am interested in reading readers responses next month to this comparison. Only problem is that C&D controls the feedback that is reported. I feel sorry for people that are so dumb that they buy cars/trucks based on these reviews.

Have you ever accidentally popped your hood at a gas station? I have--once. I felt like a moron because I was getting gas in New Jersey (they only have full service--not self-serve like New York) and the guy was looking at me like I was retarded.

Who else has popped thier hoods when trying to open the gas door? Come on, 'fess up.

I know in my sister's civic the gas and trunk release are on the same lever. Pull to open the gas cap, push to open the trunk....or was it the other way around.

At least they are seperate mechanisms for us.

Some ads are on a page by themselves and assert the value of the product, and it looks like other ads appear more like test drives. I wonder how much extra it costs to have such a large add the runs across so many pages? They did a pretty good job of it all. They had me going for a while, until I read the part on scoring. Like Koz pointed out, that gave them away. Nice try C/D. Maybe C and D stands for Cash and Delivery. If so we could say they stand behind their motto.
