Question: Is it possible to fit 3 car seats in the back seat of my 2003 or am I going to have to get a new car? Thank you in advance for any guidance....

Seat belts
To put 3 you have to use the seat belts. Mine (2005 sport) has two sets of tie down anchors. You can use both sides or the middle. I would put the smallest kid seat in the middle on the tie down anchors and use the seat belts on the outside seats. That is my interpretation of the 4runner manual and my car seat manual. The best thing to do would be put the seats in the 4runner and take it to the local fire hall. If you have more than 1 in town, call first and they'll tell you which one is certified to check car seats. They should help you get them in and make sure they are right.

No, just one in the center position.
I would say that would be a pretty tight fit if the car seats are approximately the same size as mine.
