Car Wash left haze on my window

Hi All,

Went to car wash today. After running through it and having an attendant dry it there are permanent haze marks on the rt front passenger window. Tried to get it out with windex. No luck. Haze spots still there. It is an 06 SR5. I know the factory put something on the exterior to cause water to bead up. any suggestions on how to polish the window back to new? Thanks

I know some guys have used a light guage, I believe it's '0' gauge, steel wool to remove some scratches and marks on windows. You might also want to try a buff ball, like Flitz or Mothers, not sure if this will help you out or not.

You might also want to go back to the car wash and show them what happened to see if they have any ideas....

I had a similar experience last year. My father in law manages a group of gas stations with car washes and he said it the wax they use. It is hard to get off because it repells water, but it will wear off eventually. I have not been back to that car wash, but a co-worker of mine just went there the other day and the same thing happened to his ride. After a few weeks mine cleared up fine, and I have not had a problem since.

use "invisible glass" glass cleaner.

it should take it off...

I also had this problem after going to a car wash. The last guy who used the spray might have used the tire cleaner or something. Sadly the first place I sprayed was my windshield so now my windshield have haze or drop marks all over. The marks are really visible when it rains and its really annoying. Anybody out there have any suggestions on how to clean or buff my windshield? thanks
