Cargo area 12V plug Removal

Does anyone know about this?

I've had the panel out before but never had any luck removing the plug to integrate into my sub box that covers the original location.

I've tried a couple of times but can't figure out how to get the plug unlocked or what kind of clips are holding it in.

I did a couple of searches and check the service manual but didn't find anything.

I know I could just buy a new plug but I like that one and it's there so please don't recommend buying a new plug.

Not sure if it is the same as most universal power outlets but almost all of them are 2 pieces that screw together holding it in place. Do a web search on 12v power outlet and look at the pictures. You'll see how they work.

I don't believe it screws together. I think it snaps in somehow but I can't tell where the release is or if it's a twist thing.

Wish I had a picture but I won't have time to pull the piece and look at it for a few days.

Guess I'll just bump the thread then.

(a) Turn the socket in the circumference direction as shown in the illustration, disengage the claw between the socket and the RR power point socket cover, and push out the socket to the room side.



(b) Align the socket with the notch on the RR power point socket cover, remove the RR power point socket assembly to the room side.
