Cargo Box & Deck

I likey! I think this is a better design if you dislike the spare on the outside, or cant afford a rear tire swing compared to the flatter version with the cabinet sliders.

That was weird looking at the pictures of the driver's side box, it was like watching mine get built all over again.

Good work though, I like the additions you made to the design. The removable deck is pretty sweet. I had to leave that space open on mine because my dogs ride there. It was also a good idea using turnbuckles to secure the rear of the boxes... that would make it easier to remove than using a bolt & L-bracket. I'm going to see if that will work on mine, but my flashlight & fire extinguisher might get in the way.

Last but not least, thanks for giving credit where it was due, and not just biting the style.

I will always try to give credit were credit is due, and you posting all the drawings and pictures made it very easy to replicate. :thanks:
I really liked the thought of not having a box run all the way across the deck, as i have dogs too, hence the removable deck. I was a little unsure about how you had cut open the lids but once i got in there and saw what you had seen it all made sense. Thanks for the write up and all the mods you have done to yours. Your write up on the B&M trans cooler install is definatly in my favorites for a future project.

Really well done. I haul tools every day, and this would be really practical for keeping them in place.
Now going to be my fall project.

Man I love this thing......i have ended up cooking on it numberous times, figured id get a picture. Just pull out the deck half way, roll down the rear window, and you've got yourself a great sturdy work table or cook table.
