Cargo Rack Mod's

Hey all,

So, I just bought my first 4runner used. It is 99' and has been a blast so far.

I am looking to put a cargo rack on. Right now, the rack is the stock 3rd gen rack.

A few questions:

1. What cargo rack fits with this stock rack already on here? And do you know of any threads that explain the process of installing?

2. I live in Santa Barbara, CA and surf quite a bit. Is putting a surfboard on a cargo rack an option? Have any of you done this and how?

I know of many people who attach kayaks and even full size canoes to their roof racks. A surf board should be of no issue.
