Carista killed my smart key left in vehicle chime SOLVED

I have a 2021 Venture bought a Carista to kill the seatbelt chime (was just too annoying) I also stopped the doors from auto locking and windows down with remote. After making the changes I noticed if I leave my smart key in the 4runner I no longer get a chime. There is a setting for this option, tried to disable and re-enable with no luck. I even put everything back to stock settings and still no chime when the smart key is left in the car. Anyone else have this happen. Its not the end of the world but that reminder was nice. Thanks for any help in advance.

Problem SOLVED: The same day as recieving the Carista I had a remote start installed, that is what canceled the Key Left in Car Chime. Took the 4Runner back to the dealer and out of curiosity they removed the remote start, even tried a new unti and that in fact what kills the chime, worked normal with remote start removed.

Carista support was amazing, I owe them big time, they did not want to give up I'm sorry for putting them through that, I just did not notice the chime not working until after I had used the Carista to change some settings. I was like ok, maybe I changed something I shouldn't have but no it was that remote start unit.

If retuning everything back to stock didn’t work, you can try disconnecting the battery for a few min to reset the computers.

There might also be a timeout on the chime. Did you notice the chime missing after taking it for a drive or just after making the changes.

Whether to chime or not is a customizable setting. Look in your owners manual under "Customizable Settings". Some you can do yourself, but others require the dealer service department.

Tech support at Carista is fantastic. I had an issue earlier this year and they kept working on it until it was fixed. They are based in Russia, I believe, so email responses always come in over night.

I mean it’s good to know because I hate that chime. Another sale! LOL

Havent driven it since this started, I have a company truck and I've been working so much just haven't driven the 4runner. You may have a good point Thanks

OP, did it also kill the chime when the door is closed with the engine running and the fob is NOT in the vehicle? (Is this the same thing?)
