So here's the deal, kids spilled milk/puked milk in the back seat. Killed the smell with white vinegar. Problem is now I have a vinegar smell(normally it dries odorless). I left the windows down at every opportunity and it still wouldn't go away, so I pulled the middle row seats after a week or two of this. Turns out the seat mounting points are in depressions on the floor board so the vinegar pooled in there and concentrated and never dried. I wiped this up and cleaned it out with simple green. Now I have a slight vinegar smell, I think I'm going to need to lift the rear half of the carpet and wipe down the floor and carpet clean the underside of the carpet.
Any tips? From what I can tell if I loosen the 3rd row seats I should be able to pull the carpet out from under it with out pulling the 3rd row seats and flop the whole thing forward. I don't really like how there is styrofoam under the carpet either, just need to be careful with it.
I can't really tell where the smell is coming from specifically so that's why I just want to clean under the whole thing. At least the bad milk smell is gone though.
