As promised, I confirmed the color of the black is in fact flat / matte black. Attached is a picture that was sent to me directly from the manufacturer.

Also - please be courteous and make me aware if someone is reaching out to you via private message and trying to poach you for sales of this unit. I’ve been made aware of at least one attempt. I’ve invested a lot of my time and effort trying to negotiate prices on both this unit as well as the pro replica grills. Calling bull shit considering I was the first person to post about the TRD Grille and some how also got the head unit before you. The only reason why you want people to click your link is because you get a cut �� meanwhile I'll continue to get these products before everyone else and review them at no cost and I get ZERO in return

There was a decently large thread on this on one of the T4R groups on Facebook. One user said he purchased it and said that the RAM was unbearably low for the unit. Meaning slow, unresponsive, and freezing. He said that if the unit had more on board RAM it would be definitely worth it. Also mentioned that they are actually due to release an updated version, for a higher cost with higher specs that people would likely be more interested in. I'd wait up and see when these come to market and how well they do before pulling the trigger, especially with a newer version coming out in a few months.

Agreed - but be careful what you read / verify the info. Two FB resources who have the units were indicating an additional backup camera was included as well but that is NOT the case. They promised something that didn’t exist which is why they had to go back and attempt to clean up some of their previous posts and comments.

If you ordered from T4R (NOT FB) and share your order numbers then I can find out when they will be shipped out. You can post it here or DM me. And if you’re in no hurry, then obviously no need. If you ordered from FB or directly from the site then I don’t have insights into the tracking info and the manufacturer doesn’t disclose order details if they don’t come from me. For those orders just contact the manufacturer via the site to get your info - not sure how much of a delay there will be (this is how I help influence the turnaround times).

With the pro grills, lots of people hit me up via DM because they never got order confirmations or details on shipping - I was able to get that info to them in less than 12 hours because it shows up for me after the order is placed. The manufacturer won’t share order details with me details if they don’t come from me.

How am I going to do any sort of review when I don’t have a unit? I’ve made numerous references to info on/from Facebook or info I’ve gotten directly from CarTrim considering I talk to them every evening.

You can call or say whatever you want. At the end of the day, I’m still going to get a unit and do my own research based on inquiries people here have. I’m not claiming I developed the unit or had ANYTHING to do with the concept. I did speak to CarTrim about a group buy / discounted price and that information was posted in this thread for everyone to see.

You and your buddy Sevag are the reason people jumped on and probably prematurely purchased units when y’all promised an extra camera, which was never included. I’ve already been working with them on a different product and hope to have that in production in the next 60 days. Since you’re a supposed blessing to this community and always in the know before anyone else, I’ll let you take a stab at what that product is - go ahead, godsend.

There is more than one way to have a relationship with a business or manufacturer and you both benefit. It’s not always about “getting a cut” or money. You should learn that.

Bro, I read the entire thread and there was a lot of "I am negotiating" and "I’ve invested a lot of my time and effort" from you when I know for a fact where the discount code came from and who did the work. I've seen it from day one as I am close to [MENTION=296608]Smerdinian[/MENTION] who is very close to Cartrim who thanks to Sevag, I am working close with Cartrim for other products. Oh, he also handled the replica pro grilles with Cartrim too.
