Casper421's Build/Picture thread

Not trying to jack the thread but what kind of rims are on that black 4R. Freaking sweet ride man i really want to get the OME and 285s love the stance.

Thanks! I love the stance and the ride. That would be 98SC488's awesome 3rd gen! I have no idea, send him a pm, he'd be glad to answer.

Got word from Jerry that my sliders are gonna be ready soon! I'd be super stoked but I haven't installed my bl yet and don't have much time coming up to do so. Thought I had a few more weeks.

Patiently waiting...

Looks like ill have time to install the BL on Monday and I better cuz I work tues/wed and early thursday, i drive 3hrs to get my sliders welded on!!

When I'm there, I'll have Jerry look at an idea for my "temporary" hitch idea courtesy of bt216 over on 120. I'm on the lookout for a welder that wants to build a rear bumper! :D

Found a very reliable guy to work on my 4runner. I feel very comfortable, he's 23 and built this trail rig in only a few months. Started out as an 85 4runner, now has 60's f/r and only original part is the frame under the rocker panels.

Can't wait to see the sliders mounted. His LCA skids are top notch quality. What finish did you go with?

I got them bare steel but i still need a plasma cutter to make them fit with my 4+ skids. gonna have jerry cut them when i go get the sliders welded on. Im gonna paint them the same color as my 4+ skids, grey.

Loving the extra height Casper! Looks like everyone is getting a BL these days. Ha. I've been considering one as well but wasn't sure I wanted to deal with the steering extension required with the 1" BL. Of course, I may need it if I want to run those 295/70s.

No steering spacer required with the 1". I've been running my for almost a year without one and have had zero issues knock on wood.

you need to find your way up to Uhwarrie national forest hear in NC and come wheelin with us!! I got a space for ya buddy time to get that truck on some trails!!

an nice job on the resonator delete I chopped mine in the same place.

Thanks. Although thats the last thing my wallet needs to hear, another reason to buy it. And I honestly haven't done all that much research on the 1" install, I just thought I remembered reading that somewhere. I'm really suprised the 1" BL makes that much of a difference.

Casper, you are yet again 1 or 2 steps above my build and making me want to spend more money. Ha. Thanks alot....

Did this change the sound at all? I've heard various opinions, but have never heard it in person.

it doesnt effect the sound at all.. it does reduce the bad smell that you get while driving with the rear window down though

I can hear a small and I mean small difference at startup and rpm's under 2k. Higher than 2k and the engine is louder than the exhaust.
