Casper421's Build/Picture thread

So as you have read or seen, I've caught the bug and wanna "improve" everything on my t4r for serious wheeling. I definitely don't have the deep wallets and loads of expendable cash as some others on here or other sites do so it will take a while to get to the finish line but I will enjoy every step of the way!!

The ultimate plan is to build a custom low clearance steel rear bumper but till then I need something better than this:

The spare tire and factory hitch hang WAY too low and i drag on them all the time! I need to relocate the spare and either make it easier to remove/install the stock hitch or have a custom hitch and rear crossmember welded to work with the stock bumper. :thumb3: Hopefully Jerry at BAMF can help me out once I take measurements and draw some plans.

More to come!

To me, any sand by water is a beach! I'm done with Tahoe, way too busy! We spend most of our time at either Donner or Prosser, where these and most pics are taken. Each week we add a new item to the list: tubes, music, and this week was the BBQ. Next on the list is a table, then a custom awning. ;):

Eagle Lakes 8/28

I had a great morning wheeling Eagle lakes trail with Mike(mikey's2010SR5), nice guy and gorgeous rig! The 5th gens are definitely growing on me! Here are a few pics:

Nice 5th gen!

Lookin Great man!

Thanks! I wish we took more pics but the trail this time was more fun and less hassle.

Good thing you have those big azz skid plates. Epic pics man.

Appreciate it! The new engine/trans skids barely got used! My factory gas tank skid got a good workout though; BB will be receiving an order soon!

coming along nicely.

I take the pups to Prosser all the time, maybe we'll run into you guys some time.

Trying to get to your level! We're out there all the time; pm me, we can bring the kayaks and paddle board, or run some trails.

The budbuilt gas tank skid is ridiculous. Mine came today and that sucker is HEAVY!!!

Saw the pics, that's awesome! The gas tank skid will be worth it! My rear pass. lower shock mount got nicked by a rock, post pic tomorrow. Since 5100's mounts are huge and extended travel shocks are appealing to me, I might pick up a new set and some lower shock mount skids from all-pro.

Wow. You got a got amount of flex there and the rear is still touching the ground. What was the change in the setup from the two pictures?

The second picture was taken without the front sb, with LR uca's and medic's rear sb links. I was able to get a foot higher on the rock with the rear tires still on the ground, barely.

good call on the all pro skids. You should get the upper ones as well.

Oh, I will.

Took a quick drive to Mt. Watson today for some pics of the storm:

Great pics Chris! Wish I had convenient access to that kind of landscape!

Thanks Matt! Yeah, I realized this year that I definitely take where I live for granted, that's why I've changed my ways. I try to wheel, mtn bike, surf or just take pics every available second I have. Btw, this trail is on the backside of the resort I work at, about 2 miles from my office.
