What lift are you running to fit those 34's? Rubbing beside the body mount?

OME 885's with 1/2" spacer and superflex coils in the rear plus a 1" body lift. I havent heard much rubbing besides the body mount but i expect some when i flex it out.

So far its fine except for some rubbing on the drivers side mount when i turn left. That will be fixed soon.

casper - keep us updated on rubbing after body mount chop, driving impressions, etc. This is a very cool setup I haven't seen much of.

So, it's been a while since I've been on a "trail" ride and with a few weeks off I decided to stretch out her legs today and went for a quick drive up eagle lakes. Main reason was to test out the new rubber, 285/75/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers and check for rubbing. I got to drive on gravel, mud, snow and wet granite with the new tires and over all, I love these tires! Drove 1/2 mile at 42psi then decided to drop them down to 20psi, what a great ride. Very smooth and plenty of contact patch. 4LO the whole way, never engaged the CDL and never slipped; slid once going down hill into in upward left. Cant wait to test out 12psi this summer on rocks! Gotta love 10 ply sidewalls! Onto the pics and there are a lot of them!

Besides rubbing on the front fender trim and rear wheel well trim...and body mount, any other rubbing? Such as the inner front fenders?
I'm not afraid to trim the front fender and rear wheel trim, and I already have the body mount...just curious if you notice and other rubbing under stuff?

Hey man, where's this trail at? I've heard many things about Eagle Lake but no idea where the trail head is? Where would I be able to find some directions there?

The only rubbing I've experienced is on the front drivers body mount and rear wheel well trim. That's it for now. My front liners are almost non existent and no rubbing on either side of the spindles. I can tell you're contemplating 285/75's, just do it! You won't regret it!
Take 80 east to Eagle lakes exit, it's right before Cisco grove, which is the closest gas and food area. Head left under 80 to the campground and the trailhead is about a mile down on the right. Let me know if you want to head up this way and I'll meet you there anytime.

^^Wow, those iphone pics via tapatalk suck. These are from the dslr. We've been trying to water ski atleast one of the mornings we have off and spend the rest either mtb biking or relaxing at the beach with the paddleboard. so here are some pics at the beach:

During this pic it sounded like the fan was hitting the shroud and making a faint knocking sound but nothing serious. I moved forward a couple of feet, stopped and the sound went away. I might try to reenact the situation tomorrow and see exactly where its rubbing. It feels and sounds like its coming from the bottom of the shroud.
The mix of 885's, LR uca's and no front sway bar make for some decent articulation! Much better than before the uca's and with the front s/b!

The front definitely has more flex and now i want to work on the rear! Either Toytec links or custom depending on cost, probably Toytec!

Casper - any updates on your 285/75/17's in terms of daily driving? I assume you are running stock gears - any issues with the truck being slower or weird shift points, loss of power?

They feel just like the old 285's, just a bit heavier. Ride well on the road and haven't noticed too much decrease in power. Re-gear might be happening soon.
