I wish you would have done this earlier. I ended up buying a firestik door jamb mount and extending it. The mount looks awesome and like it is built well.

Frist remove this bumpstop.

Then reinstall with, or without bumpstop. With bumpstop hatch is pretty tight. I run without it.

There. Will be a small black plastic piece that is edge trim for the hatch. As seen here.
