Cb antenna placement

Im having a heckuva time finding out a good spot for my cb antenna and where to run the antenna cable into the cab. Most logical place seems to be on top of the runner, which is fine with me, as i got a wilson "little will" magnetic antenna, so its not very tall. But i cant figure out how to run the cable from there into the cab. There is nowhere on a 2nd gen rear bumper for mounting, so rear bumper mounting is out of the question. All you other guys running cb's, where did u mount ur antenna and how did u run it into the cab? Thanks

This seems to be popular. Mounting it on inside of fender.

I think this is good place for the actual cb

I have a magnetic mount so that wont work for me, cool idea tho

I used to have a magnet mount on top of mine and just ran it down the passenger side door through all the carpet to a cb. Buttt it was constantly hitting things and eventually got broken off by a low hanging branch. I then switched to a firestik door jamb mount with a 3 ft firestik with medium spring Mounted it in the rear right above the tail light. Slides right in between the tail gate and light. I prefer it so much more over my magnet mount. But its your rig and you know whats best for you. Best of luck to ya!

thanks for your input! I may just have to do that to mine. did you have any problems with water leaking into the cab at the point where the antenna cable went through the door weatherstripping?

nope no leaking what so ever. Just tucked it right in behind the strip. just made sure the door was shut good.

I mounted mine on the back left quarter panel. I replaced those old bolts with new ones so it doesn't look beat up. I drilled a couple holes for the nuts and bolts then drilled one more for the coax to run inside. It looks good and is functional.
