CBI Bumpers and Winch Control Boxes....

Ok.... I think I'm becoming one of the Anti-Satoshi Mod Members and thinking of reverting back to a stock grill someday (after I get my bumper raised up to fit my body). Problem is the Warn Control Box is in the way. I emailed CBI and they just said to move it. As much as I like the bumper, no where on their page did I see that the grill is in the way when I bought it.

If I was made of money, I think I would get a whole new bumper so I wouldn't have to modify this one. One with three hoops instead of one, and one where I know the grill doesn't interfere with the winch.....

But I digress, I'm sorry..... Where are people relocating their control boxes to? I would rather not have it under the hood, unless I have controls in the cab (or go wireless...).

Love people's options and opinions.
Thanks!
(I love pics too!) :biggrin2:

Just because you put the solenoid box under the hood doesn't mean you have to put the winch control receptacle under the hood too. My solenoid box is buried behind the bumper but my winch control plugs in next to the winch.

I just cut my factory grill and painted it black on my Relentless. I also am big fan if symmetry so I centered it then put some lights one either side. I wasn't sure I'd like it but I ended up being pretty happy with the look.

Pics please when you can. I'm interested.

Ok, so I've thought about it and I can move the contactor to under the hood and move the controls to inside the cab. Have two options that I know of (wireless remote or wired switches). I would rather have wired switches (Two of them, one to power the control switch, and then the control switch).

So now, where to put them? First option is to the left of the steering wheel, but when I had switches there before I've hit them with my knee getting in and out so that's not an option. I don't want them with my other switches that will be below my stereo or in my ash tray.... Soooooooo?

Maybe horizontal switches and put them above the 4WD lever?
Maybe fill that empty hole in the console and put them to the driver side of the E-Brake Handle?
Maybe I could use a safety toggle switch and put them to the left of the steering wheel (best option), but all those that I've seen are very large and bulky. Maybe I'll find a smaller version somewhere....

Options for other locations that I haven't thought of yet?
Thanks!
