CBI rear plate bumper - how big spare tire will fit underneath?

zombie thread warning... but I'm curious and interested in the bumper too.



maybe others can chime in... but...

if a 31 inch tire has 1 inch clearance...
wouldn't the 33 inch tire fit (just barely)...
a 32 inch would have a 1/2 inch clearance...
being the tires center won't change.

Not really - I think you may be confusing it with how much lift you get when you go from say a 32" to a 33" tire. In that case you do only get 1/2" additional height.

However, a 32" tire is 32" tall, so you need 32" of space underneath to fit it. I was able to fit an older 32" underneath my CBI bumper, but don't think I could get a 33" to fit, unless maybe it was completely deflated.
