That's not a good feeling.... sorry to hear that about CBI. Though I do have their front and rear bumpers and they've made improvements over the years on their rear bumper, I don't like hearing about lack of replacement parts.

The real sad thing is, when I called to discuss the WOBBLE. (Not to mention names, but The Boy scout?) Told me they had never experienced, or even heard of such a thing. Even though it was/is all over the web. So much for, Trustyworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, c, k, o, c, t, b, c, and r.

Sorry to bring back such an old thread, but I can't seem to imagine how cost isn't being brought up here at all? I just paid full price for the Shrockworks bumper with tire carrier & jerry can, and if I'm not crazy, the CBI still costs about $1000 more?! Yes the Shrockworks customer service is eh and it took 5 months to get it, but I can't imagine paying $1000 more for a shorter lead time and a product with many iffy reviews (mostly tire carrier).
Am I missing something about the price?

I am hoping to get the Shrockworks setup myself this year, although I will need to find someone to assist with installing it and receiving the shipment once I am ready since I can’t take a crate where I live. [MENTION=80668]Loud Runner[/MENTION] is who sold me on getting Shrockworks.

Don't forget about 4xInnovations! I've had mine for a year and a half now and I still really like it. I'd personally pick it over the Shrockworks any day, but to each their own.

You can still find people here and there selling old CBI stock, but tbh if I had to do it again I'd probably go with SW over CBI. My CBI bumper and tire carrier is wonderfully made and looks great, but all-in-all the gate is a little bulky for our cars the Shrockworks one just matches the look better imo and doesn't look so awkward unloaded. Without gas cans it's just this big, plain, square piece of metal - with them it looks bulky and awkward. If I'm not mistaken, SW is lighter too (my CBI was like only like 160lbs or something)
I also couldn't get CBI's hi-lift mount to fit their own bumper, so there's that too

Adding on, the powdercoat on my rear hybrid bumper is pretty funky. A friend of mine with a truck rack from them has the same issue.

Huh, funny you say that. I received my bumper bare and had it coated by a local shop but the hi-lift mount I received was coated by CBI and it definitely could've used a better job
