CEL: T4R healed itself?

I posted last week about a check engine light issue. Our CEL light was on, the speedometer and odometer were non function, and the ABS, Brake, VSC Trac, and VSC off lights were on. Intermittently the speedometer and odometer would work, and the ABS and Brake lights would be off, but the CEL and 2 VSC lights would stay on. I got an error code of P0500 which indicates the vehicle speed sensor and it makes sense because if the VSS was bad it would be what makes the speedometer and odometer not work. So I ordered the sensor.

Out driving yesterday, started the truck and none of the lights came on and everything seemed fine. I didn't want to get my hope up but took it out again last night and again this morning and no lights are on.

Is it possible for a T4R to just heal itself?

This is a 2001 Supercharged LTD 4X4 with 192,800 miles and I am the original owner.

Possible. But unlikely.

What probably happened is the VSS is GOING out. Decided to work now. Keep the VSS you bought, and if the lights come back on replace it.
