Center cones- leave in or out?

When I lift my Runner, can I reinstall the rubber center cones in the rear for a small amount of extra lift or is it best to leave them out when reinstalling the new lift coils? Is it better just to add 10mm trim packers with the 890 or 891 OME springs?

Yeah your gonna want to leave those in. absolutely.

The bumpstops are an important part of the suspension system. They prevent too much compression and give a 'softer' feel at the end. Without them, the shock could bottom out and be destroyed or the coil will go solid and be damaged.

Use the trim packers to adjust ride height if one side sits lower than the other, or put them in for extra lift on both sides.

I have them in my 2002 as I suggested earlier and as we all have said you need to leave them in or your will have a rude awakening when they aren't there to stop the spring from full compression. I even have the 10mm trim packers just make sure it goes spring trimpacker with the rolled edge up then your bump stop and install.


and yes they are bump stops! don't back talk!

Its been so long i cant remember that should be about right though. Its hard to tell now as i have the suspension lift, bl, and 33.3" tires now.
