Center Console Paint Pealing Off!!!

FYI the silver paint where my leg rubs on the center console is now pealing off of my 2003 4runner. Owners beware! I go in Saturday to see if they will cover it under warranty.

My seatbelt has scratched an 'arc' in the silver of the armrest/console. I now have a State Farm road atlas between my seatbelt and the silver console. Damage is already done, so hopefully the atlas will keep it from deteriorating further.

To replace the section of silver is a PITA. They have to take out the console and it looks like a pretty substantial work order. I don't feel comfortable, yet, having the dealer rip into my rig with a 17 year old learning for the first time.

The dealer ordered me a new part for my center console and said that this has not been seen before. Waiting on parts now.

The dealer replaced my center console piece under warranty. FYI to all, those silver dash and console pieces are painted and the paint will peel off so please be careful.
