Where do y'all go in the RVA area? I see a ton of lifted and modded SUVs around RVA, but being new to the area, I haven't found any legal places to go. I'm definitely down for a meetup and wanna start getting my 4runner muddy

There a couple spots in rva. Been to a spot out in Forrest hill with a buddy which was fun. Spot in lakeside that's not bad, not long but good enough for being in lakeside. spot here and there in new Kent also

How did you access the Forrest hill spot? I have heard about it from someone else but the way he used to get in is now blocked.

I'm definitely up for another adventure. I'll be at the Overland East Expo so 10/1-10/4 are booked on my calendar. Other than that, with a few weeks notice I'm extremely flexible.

As mentioned by Church, there are other trails at Flagpole that we didn't even touch. One goes by a lake which looks interesting. I recall that [MENTION=77471]kevinpt[/MENTION] said he had been that way before but it is possibly closed now?

There are roads/trails all over the mountains near Flagpole (Second Mountain, Dictum Ridge, Kephart, etc.). They're all scenic and they're fun to explore, but Flagpole is the most popular because there are those couple of sections that can add a little bit of challenge to a stock truck and/or a new driver, and because you get those spots at the top where you have a view over the valleys.

I'm subscribing to this thread to stay in the loop. I haven't been to GWNF in years and would like to get back there this fall sometime.

A friend of mine knows a guy and his backyard back up to that property. We always entered that way
