what trail was the teeter tottering on?
hearno how much air did you get after hitting that sweet jump in picture #6? lololol looks like a good little play area

I wasn't feeling quite that bold. That hill is extremely steep.

We did... it's at the very beginning. We just didn't stop.

Depending on work I might be able to do this, if this is child friendly. If you don't want kids around let me know and I will just forget about it.

We had kids this last weekend. We arent planning the next one for a while but be on the look out for Central Va Trails 4.0!!

Kid's definitely man. I am bringing my daughter the next time more than likely as this is definitely a family friendly atmosphere out there for both of the trips we've done. I'd prefer we keep it that way as it opens the door to bring them along and experience some great outdoors fun.

Ok, I some how missed the whole OCTOBER thing. I for some reason thought November. Glad to hear it is kid friendly. Some groups just want to go out and have fun and not have to worry about what they say or do because of the kids.

Its all good Matt! We may have an impromptu trip into the mountains this winter if it snows!

We were talking about big levels and shoe creek during the trip. Supposedly shoe creek just might be open again. We also talked about camping more as well maybe doing hiking as a group Crabtree/ the preist

That sounds like fun too. I didn't realize those trails were so close to crabtree falls.
LOBO79 sounds like a least a few of us who missed this most recent trip are interested in doing some sort of trip before winter really sets in.

I am going back to KY next weekend if any of you guys would want to meet up in Big Stone Gap Va and do some trails. The county I am going to in KY has more off road trails than it does paved roads. Which is right across the Va line

What is the town? I need to Google it

If you're talking about the town where Big Levels is, google "VA legal ohv trails" and you'll get a google map someone made with a number of trails. Big Levels is near Wintergreen, right off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. However that place was only a suggestion. I've never been there, don't know how good it is. But I do know it is closed for some part of the winter, can't remember exact dates.

Definitely will do.

I actually just did "Big Levels" the other night after work in my stock 2015 T4R. It was a bit rockier than i was expecting but then again...what's the worst that could happen? lol

I live in Stuarts Draft now (been here a week) and just decided to take the trail from this end up to the blue ridge parkway. The trail had recently been cleared out by a group of off roaders (@sovat4r knows who they are i think) but it was still a bit tight in some areas. As long as you're okay with getting a few Colorado Pinstripes then you should be good to go.

If anyone wants to go again during the week or at night then i'd be down!

Thanks for the trail report. I'm hoping to get up there one of these weekends I just haven't been able to figure out exactly when yet. Maybe thanksgiving weekend.

No problem! That's what we're here for. I'm just excited that Virginia seems to be the most active group of owners and trail goers on these forums. I mean I haven't been able to make it to a meet yet because of work but at least other's are getting together and hitting the trails!

Is anyone planning to go out for a weekend in run say Match/April time frame. Should have my runner up to speed by then. I am located in Chesterfield but would be more than willing to make my way to GWNF if need be. Looking mostly for a 2-3 day trip with some camping. Would be my first outting in years and I have never made it out on the common VA trails because when I was younger and had my TJ (wrangler) my buddy had land we could wheel but that ship has sailed. Miss the world of trail riding and want to get back in it. Hence why I bought me a 4Runner, aside the fact that I always wanted a Runner. Cheers all and hope we can make it out sometime soon.

I am sure we may get another one up and rolling again soon. Last time we did camping we did Flagpole Knob then went to a campsite outside of Peters Mill Run and then we did PMR the next day. That was a Saturday/Sunday deal. March/April may put is in the right time frame to have another outing.
