Change fog lights to yellow...what did you do?

What is the output like? Also, have you ever used them in a snowstrom or similar conditions?

My main concern, is that i drive to tahoe all the time for snowboarding in just about any condition. I love it because the slopes are clear as nobody wants to deal with the weather.

The 4wd system has been flawless and i have tons of traction, but my only complaints have been my wipers and my lights. Any suggestions from anyone who drives in similar conditions is greatly appreciated as i would like to get these issues resolved before this upcoming season.

Wow, another fellow rider. I'm a powder junkie, nothing like a fresh storm and going into the trees.

What are you running for your headlights? I'm using 4300k HID lowbeams and they're good, no issue with it reflecting back or anything. But when it's really coming down at night headlights doesn't seem to give me the lighting I want. I swapped over to 3000k fogs and I'm waiting for some foul weather to test them out.

Wipers seem ok to me, have you tried switching to a new set of refills? I'm still on the original blades. Probably because my 4Runner is parked out of the sun most of the time. The hydrophilic coating on the glass seems to work well for the most part. I've noticed 40-45mph seems to be the sweet spot for keeping the windshield clear and no need for the wipers.

BTW, where do you ride at? I'll be at Northstar.

I used some trico blades last season and they were terrible. The oem's were ok, but i think i am going to try the bosch icons this year. I also rainx the windsheild regularly so its more of a wiper freezing up than anything.

I will be riding sierra again this year. Northstar is ok, but i like to head down to my car alot as i bring my dog, and Northstar isnt the place for that. I will also be riding Kirkwood.

I just picked up some relatively cheap "JDM yellow" bulbs from an car lighting place near me.

I think they are called luminics and they have done a good job thus far. I really like the look of yellow fog lights on a car.

I also debated HID but didn't want to have to deal with all the problems with mounting ballasts and such.

I had the yellow fogs.. They melted both the wiring harnesses

Then the ultra whites for headlights and they burned out one after the other in a three month period.

Customer service sucks.. DDL for life..

A few here have tried Icons, but didn't like their performance very much. I don't like Rain-X because after a few weeks dirt sticks to it really bad and the wipers are ineffective making a clean and completely dry pass--little thing streaks of water are left behind like in the morning with dew.

Yeah, the whole Gondola access to Northstar doesn't make car to mountain and back to th car access that great. I like the terrain at NS better though. I might ride at Sierra if I'm blacked out at NS. Haven't tried KW yet, but I've heard good stuff about them.

What are Luminics rated as? 55w, or something higher? I was considering getting them for my other car. Appreciate the heads up and I will rule them out. Looks like Polarg or PIAA might be the only way to go.
