Change fog lights to yellow...what did you do?

I wanted more brighter fog lights and wanted them yellow. I didn't want to go the HID way. Is there a brighter yellow bulb I can buy? Or is a yellow film a better way to go?

Any film is going to make your lights dimmer, as they are filtering out certain wavelengths of light (in this case, blue).

I put in Nokya hyper yellows. Can't say they're brighter but definitely a nice yllow light. Mine are 9006 stage one 70w. Absolutely no problems

first i did the nokya yellow bulbs in the fogs, it was ok, but after i put retro-solutions hids (www.retro-solutions.com). it was way better. i got the 2000k 35watt retro-solutions hid kit, and it was very bright yellow. search up my post and ull b able to get the pics.

Do you have some sort of affiliation with retro-solutions?

The reason I ask is you push their product at every possible corner.

im not , they have quality kits, my 3rd gen had his h4 bixenon kit and after my wreck, 4 times of roll over, i took the kit out and put it in my dads 07 tacoma, and what u guys noe, it turns on and works flawlessy, these kits are great, works and no modifications needed. i personally bought 3 kits from him and a extra set of bulbs, im running some 55watt 3000k in my lows for now kuss it looks hella cleaner than the 5000k 55watt , if u guys like other kits then go ahead and get them, but if u want quality and have ur kit 2-3 days after u order, get retro-solutions. remember u get what u pay for. u cant beat lifetime warranty from him and he stands behind his product, even xenondepot knoes him.

i think everyone is missing the key here and that is the guy does NOT want an HID solution. IMO do not get nokya. do some research you will find that yes some people have zero issues but more then that have a lot of issues. with melting wires or they burn out fast.
i would get a PIAA or Catz bulb. they are yellow, they are semi bright, and will not burn your wires. pay more get more. i had a pair on my last car and ran them for a good 3 years.

I just picked up some relatively cheap "JDM yellow" bulbs from an car lighting place near me.

I think they are called luminics and they have done a good job thus far. I really like the look of yellow fog lights on a car.

I also debated HID but didn't want to have to deal with all the problems with mounting ballasts and such.

zip ties and double stick tape are your friends. as long as you get a good solid waterproof ballast, tuck it away best you can then you are worry free. the output is worth it.

I debated that, but with all the off roading I do I am always afraid that I will knock them loose and my fogs do the job for now.

if its not broke dont fix it right. im not into off roading so i havent had to worry about it that much, but i can see the huge concern. there has been a few bumps ive hit and worried about. i should pop under and make sure they are ok.

If any of you guys want that lexus yellow color go give HOEN Endurance a try, i just got mine and this bulb is awesome.. for those of you that doesn't want to go the HID route.. i'll snap a pic for you all if anyone is interested...
