Changing Auto Door Lock/Unlock Settings

Just get a carista or an ODBLink MX+ both work great..... So Many changes to be had

I used Carista a while back, changed some settings. I attempted to change the 'park to unlock' function using the instructions in this thread, and in the manual. I do the neutral, unlock or lock button hold for 5 seconds (timed), and the locks cycle signifying that it worked. However, nothing has changed.

Has having used Carista has "locked" that setting in place so I cannot use the instructions aforementioned to change that setting?

Turn off auto door lock/unlock it's not safe.

Unless you live in the hood, it's highly unlikely you will ever have anyone try to enter your car, invited, while you are in it. You also have the ability to lock the doors on demand.

The biggest concern is locked doors during a crash. In this case no one from the outside can open the door and render aid. They will need you to unlock the door, which you may not be able to, or break a window which is surprisingly difficult, dangerous and messy.
