that is a one of a kind 4runner, that is for sure.... i looked at the total chaos long travel kit for my truck, but ive never liked the widened track/fiberglass fenders, but i like how everything came together on yours, i think i would have a wreck if i saw that driving down the road

Those lights are $240 EACH with plastic housing 100w bulbs and a 3 year warranty.

The KC Rally 800s are $250 for a complete kit (2 lights) including a pre-terminated relay and wiring harness, LED dash switch, and stone guards. The lights are all polished stainless with unbreakable Lexan lenses, 130w bulbs and a 23 YEAR warranty.

That is definately a unique 4runner. I have been on this forum for a couple of years and it has been interesting to see Good Times continue to add to his truck.

It is neat to see someone mod their rig that much to get the increased trail capablility.

Thanks for the warm compliments! It's been a long overhaul (about 12 months to be exact) so this project has been a handful. I have to give props to two key vendors that helped me get this 4runner where it is now (currently sitting in my garage! lol); Total Chaos for their Long Travel Kit and Demello Offroad for their front bumper and sliders. Without their support this would have never been possible. Sadly everything else has been customly built between my friend and I. The fiberglass pieces (front fender and rear quarter panel above the bumper) was a pita and I WILL NEVER TOUCH THAT AGAIN! Bondo and fiberglas... yeah I think I'll leave that for the body shop from now on... It's just too much work!

This 4runner was an inspiration by many other members in the community that has modded their vehicles. With a distorted vision I decided that for the trails that I do, a LT kit would be an ideal situation. I love how IFS rides vs SA. With that in mind the redesign was put in place and finally I have something that sort of looks like what I wanted. With the beefed up front diff from Toyota (factory! 4th gen rules) it is mathematically rated equivalent to a D44 (not bad I think) so the odds of breaking the front axles are slimmer than any of the previous generation toyotas (of course my math might be wrong but it's close enough I think). With this in mind the SAC (solid axle conversion) was out of the question unless I wanted a D60 (which is $$). Once the front locker gets installed I'll have a better idea of where it stands.

The rear bumper will get a tire carrier but I'm debating on how I want to mount it so it'll be a few months. I still have many other mods that need to get incorporated so hopefully this rig will be fully done in 2 yrs (giving myself ample timeframe as nothing happens in 1 day especially when you do it yourself. Now if I forked up all the hard earned cash on someone that's a diff story but unfortunately that won't happen unless I work 3 FT jobs or get more support!)

Many of the items in place were a major overkill but then again most of the items I purchased right now are more for the future mods that I have in place. A true 4 link rear is my ultimate goal so thus the 14" travel shock already in place.

Lights were the bling bling factor but I wanted to go with something different and was very impressed by Lightforce so thus going in that route. I'm still a big fan of Hella though

In the time being, it'll start to see some trail action asap as I need to test out the capability as it stands so I know what other modifications will be necessary to move onto the next mods.

Something else to note for those that might get discouraged wondering if your own stock 4runner is not offroad worthy enough... it's plenty offroad worthy! I took my stock out right after I bought it and it did well. All of the mods I added were just bling bling to be able to get to places I really didn't have to. If you have a mild lift (2-3"), beefy tires and sliders, you're in very good shape to do some amazing stuff. With good driving skills you can pretty much go anywhere!
