Cheap gun mount

I thought I would pass this along in case anyone is interested. I wanted to mount my pistol under the column. I bought a Kydex holster like the one below with a belt clip on it. Open up the belt clip and slip it over the plastic under the steering wheel. There is a metal piece that runs across the plastic panel that the belt clip will hook over perfectly. I can take a better picture if needed. I really like the pistol here. It isn't in plain sight, but I have easy access to it if needed.

It is sturdy. Once it lock over the metal brace on the back side of the panel it is secure. It doesn't move around or rattle. You can sort of tell from the picture below.

I have had the holster for a few months. I went back to my ebay account and the seller doesn't have any more listed. Any of these with the same type of belt clip will work though.

Yes, it is a a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 40.

Nice, I think I'm going to copy you on this. I tried to put a mount under the seat, but there isn't enough clearance down there.

Did the same but just used a mikes holster... I also sometimes jam it in my door in the hole in the arm rest thing... I'll take a pic later. I noticed when it's on my column I hit my knees a lot.
