Best muffler value you've found for a 3rd gen? I'm not looking for a loud exhaust note, just a quiet replacement muffler, that won't hinder performance either.

Cheap, huh?

Make sure it isn't decaf either. Maxwell House usually flows the best.

C'mon guys, it's an honest question. He's probably got a hole in his old muffler that won't pass smog or something.

If you have the means to bolt/weld it on yourself then Borla is definitely one of the best. The TRD exhaust (if they still make it?) is good but definitely not cheap.

Magnaflow are a bit noisier than stock and a so-so quality muffler. They tend to make more noises over time. Flowmaster are also decent but are louder on average. That's the extent of my muffler knowledge.

In all seriousness, since your aim is quiet, I would look at Walker Quietflow SS mufflers. These performance brands will be louder than stock even if you get the largest casing. The Quietflow is an OEM replacement.

I bought that muffler for my Saturn. Liked it but it's not completely SS. It rusted out. I'm on my second one now. I got the replacement on Amazon. It came with a 50 dollar rebate so I ended up paying a wopping 14 dollars for it.

take it to an exhaust shop, and have them install a generic muffler. they are cheap, and it will be quiet.
