If I got a hold of that thing (and I wouldn't do it unless I could do it cheap - as in like $250) - I'd take that thing down the nastiest, most technical trail I could find, driving it like I stole it, wearing a helmet. And then leave it there.

And I thought the joking sarcasm in my post was obvious..... :) That thing wouldn't make it past the first big rock. lol

Looks like someone drove it into a foot of wet cement and left it there. Probably a better ending than whatever that thing is.

No worries.

Its just people that litter, abandon cars, drive off trail etc etc just make it seem like all offroaders are irresponsible Aholes. When that happens, trails get shut down and it gets ruined for everyone.

Can someone please explain to me the purpose of doing that too any vehicle, much less a 4runner? i just dont get it. No, seriously, whats the motivation? To see how small of a bump you can break your bumper on? i know on the streets where I live you could never drive it
 
I understand it not being everyone's personal taste (its not mine either), but I've never understood all the hate. Believe it or not it does take skill to do that, both in planning and fab work. Who on this forum has made their 4runner a new frame?
 
What I don't understand is the people that say they don't understand. I think it's obvious. It comes down to what you like. I'd never own it, but I'd sure like to ride in it. That truck has more modifications to it's suspension than any one of us on this site. Excluding some of our insane modification hungry sponsors of course.

It's the same reason we jack our trucks up, stick bigger tires on it, put different wheels on it, etc etc.. To not only look cool but be functional. His truck is just functional in the aspect to draw attention. His 4runner may never be able to drive down a rocky trail much less run over a curb like ours but he can damn sure draw a bigger crowd around his truck than we could ever imagine around ours. Personal preference man. People look at us crazy too ya know.
 
Exactly right. It's all about what you want and what your goal is. A truck like that would do well in quite a few shows, would draw crowds everywhere it went and give status in certain groups. It fits that goal.

I would never own it, it wouldn't be able to do what I want or need it to. My runner certainly isn't going to draw more than a couple looks much less a crowd, itll never be in any show. My runner does fit in with certain groups, just happen to be people who are more like me, like most of us on here. All I wan't my runner to do is make it where I need to go in whatever weather comes up, get me through a few iffy "roads" and when I need down some trails. It fits me and my needs.

I admire the amount of work that it took to do all of that, I think it would be interesting to see but it has no practical value to me. It is somewhat like art in this, I won't be buying expensive art for my house, that does not mean that I don't like seeing it in the museum, or that other people shouldn't have art in their homes. It's all in what you like.
 
2 problems, there are no headrests and he took a picture of a guy taking a picture of the 4runner, get that inception **** outta here
 
The leather looks pretty good; it is certainly in better condition than my driver's seat.

With that said, it looks rather garish for my taste.
