Long story short, I'm ordering custom length Icon rear 2.0 remote reservoir shocks for my 2006. I'm going with around 4-4.5" of lift (similar to Crazydubman's build). Lift consists of Icon 3" springs and a 1.5" coil spacer. Here are some numbers I need checking.
Icon 2.0 Alum. Series (P/N: 56505R) - good for 3" of lift
Collapsed Length: 15.05"
Extended Length: 24.50"
CUSTOM 2.0 Alum. Series - estimated 4-4.5" of lift
Collapsed Length: 15.05"
Extended Length: 25.87"
Obviously, the second set of numbers are the ones I'm in the process of ordering. Just ease my mind on the extended length here.
As I understand the shocks will be the same body as the 3" lift versions you can buy through any Icon dealer (P/N: 56505R) but a longer shaft length, which requires a remote reservoir. I know it may sound obvious but I'm pulling the trigger on these and there are NO RETURNS, as I can understand, for custom Icon builds.
Also, it seems like having the same collapsed length as the regular 3" versions and just a longer travel and extended length I could range from 3-4.5" of lift without any worries. Any comments on that theory?
