Check my math please. MPG

my 99 3.4 auto pretty much gets 20, city/hwy whatever, yours sounds really low. my runner had an issue recently where the mileage dropped to 13 and I thought something bad was wrong. each tank got better and better and eventually I was back to 20 no idea why. I've gotten a high of 23mpg and it usually won't drop below 18-19

Update: after cleaning MAF and pulling the efi fuse and a few other minor fixes I am now at 18.8 mpg all city stop and go traffic. I can live with that!

I usually get 265-280 on a full tank. Lifted, 32’s. I fill up on 17 gallons usually. Although I have a 97 with 93k miles that I purchased from an elderly couple who Toyota dealer services every little thing.

That's great. You fixed your issue, that seems clear.

What were the other minor fixes?

Other big culprit for MPG is the upstream o2 sensor.

So yes, this vehicle is new to us. I don’t know how the other owner drove it so I did the efi thing. Also cleaned and re oiled the KN air filter. This is a 2WD and it’s a pavement queen. Cleaned MAF and replaced upstream O2. The tires were a bit low on air so I inflated them to the proper level. But basically that’s it.. probably a combination of all those things.
