Check this rotor out. Ready to shear the studs or what?

I’ve never seen a rotor contact the wheel studs like this.

Is this normal for Runnas?

I don't think it is normal, but I am curious about how it would have happened. If the wheels are torqued properly, there should be no way that the rotor can move, being sandwiched between the wheel and the hub. It is almost like the wheel was somewhat loose, and driven like that for a while.

The other possibility is it is an aftermarket rotor that wasn't machined properly.

Maybe your spacers weren't torqued?

That’s when I noticed it, when I drove 50 miles and rechecked the torque on the spacers. All other wheels were good (as in torque, so I didn’t check the rotor) except this one. But even with this one, all the lug nuts were good except one, but I decided to take them all off and re-apply loctite and re-torque.


It’s a head scratcher for sure.
