Will you clarify because its kinda been asked.

I'm thinking of installing 275/70R18 but I'm not sure they will fit.

Did your 65's rub at all? I have an icon lift and lr ucas

With no lift They will rub a little bit with the wheel dimensions that I had. A less aggressive offset will have different results.

Lifted they won't touch.
 
YOU GUYS ARE LIKE A FEW MILES FROM MY HOUSE! If you ever want a test car i have a a 4th gen. Id love to stop by and check out the shop! This rig looks amazing. what did you end up doing with the stock 6 spoke wheels on the rig?

Yes, thats the board gauge and no recalibration has been done. If you figure in the recalibration and % of tire size gain, its really around 17mpg the board is just been tricked!

Mudflap removal, body mount chop and some lower plastic triming on what remained behind the mud flap. on the front bumper, Heat gun and zipties to pull plastic back, and shave inner edge of bumper plastic back with utility knife.

Then, when I got my alignment I have 4* caster forward on the front suspension to help it all fit. All in all, Im not sure i would have gone with a 295, as a 285 that is 1/4 in smaller in both height and width would have fit with less work.

(remember, I don't have any lift on my truck)

Very helpful. I'm prepared to do the body mount chop but it's UCAs and everything else I'd rather avoid. Still, I think I'll stick with the conventional wisdom and 285 and not try to squeeze another 10 mm. 295/65R18 extends out the side of an 18x9 wheel enough to take off road so it's very tempting. Guess that knocks me back down to the ol' 285/70R17. Countersteers are probably smarter, but I love me some BFDs.

Don't shy away from it!!! And I did nothing with the UCA's i have stock ucas on my truck. They fit great!! Just gotta clear out the front a bit.. You will love it, but you have to commit to it. And yes, the 295's make the 18" bfd wheel able because the tire protects the rim way more than the 285's do.
 
I got the BFDs from chitown4x4. Really cool dude. I told him I'd follow up online. Lot's of life decisions including a possible big move getting in the way but the dust has settled and I got back to it.

Got the mentioned Duratracs, 295/65R18. The liner-push-forward-mod didn't work too well on the LE bumper and there's trail damage down there already so I just pulled the bottom 6x6 or so inches off the passenger and cut the corresponding area from the driver's.

No BMC!!! Prior to this I got a 2.5/1.5 Daystar spacer kit (riding out the XREAS that I paid for). I got an alignment at 4 Wheel Parts in Ft Worth and I forgot to ask about caster but I'm guessing they squeezed a degree or two out of it because it clears, even in reverse. Hopeful that holds true offroad. Cool guys there too. No alignment report though.
