Clanking sound on driver's side when driving over bumps

Hi!

I have an '03 SR5 4Runner, purchased brand new. Recently, it has been making a clanking sound on the driver's side when I go over bumpy roads or even speed bumps. The sound is quiet, but audible. The dealership claimed they didn't hear anything...any suggestions?

Front or back?

I had a clank and it was the jack not stored properly bouncing around.

I may have a similar noise coming from the front, havent figured out what it is though. I installed the daystar lift a long time ago and wanted to check all the bolts again to make sure it isnt that...but i hear it over bumps in the road and it sounds like a clank/knock sound...still trying to figure it out

after my lift install i get that clanking sound in the rear. ive checked all the stuff but still cant figure out what. i remember that 4route had the same prob coming from the front. she said she needed to tighten down the front sway bar bolts.

check the bushings, my mom has a 2002 ford explorer that would clank going over bumbs, and it was the bushings.

I checked the front suspension on both sides, found that the strut tower screws ( 17 mm x 3 ) were not tight, over time the spacers obvoiusly compress so that is why they were probably not fully tightened. I tightened them up and drive around for a little and it seemed to be gone. Hopefully it stays that way.
