I'm still thinking Area BFE is going to be our best option for camping, plus we're right there if we wanted to do Strike Ravine.

I'm not sure if you have been to BFE. Personally, I hate that area. It reminds me of a fairgrounds that has been hit with a nuclear bomb!
I have THE place to camp.
It is totally primitive/un-improved so EVERYTHING must be carried out. This includes all trash and solid human waste!

I haven't, I'll take your word for it.
Your secret spot, is it up to a whole crew of folks for several days? It can be hard not to leave a trace when it's 5+ rigs for 5+ days...

I'm always open to a trip to Moab.
Being that I work for myself and I take work as it comes in and if I'm not working I don't get paid, I'll have to wait and see.

I may join in as well but I wouldnt be bringing my rig, riding with helo-mec and providing a tow rig. I haven't been able to confirm I can go yet but most likely I will be able to. I also think we should invite all the t4r members and make this as fun as possible, meet some folks and drink some beer.

A small taste of what you'll see
Here's just a taste, for those who haven't seen the place in person. This is mostly just the scenery in the area, not necessarily the trails themselves, but it gives some idea of the place. I posted a small album of Moab a while back, with a few more shots (still only a portion of what I took, though). I just hope everything works out and I can be there again this October to take some wheeling pics of some classic Yotas at play!

That would be Onion Creek, a simple but scenic 10+ mile drive from Hwy 128. You cross the creek over 20 times, on a narrow 1 1/2 lane dirt road that follows the canyon floor, then climbs out on one of the thin ridges. At the back, you can hook up with Rose Garden Hill or Thompson Canyon trails.

I think that oughta be next year's Classics meet. I've been dying to get into the Uncompaghre, the pics from that area are stunning.

I second that motion!! That area and Moab are my #1 and #1A (can't give either a 2--LOL) on places to go. They are specifically why I'm considering a move to Grand Junction, CO, because that would put me right about the middle. Work one day, explore the next. In particular, the Black Bear Pass is a must-drive sometime soon--outrageous! I already have my guidebook, extra map, and DVD of the area.

So it looks like we have the 2013 destination picked as well. Hopefully the Classics of T4R.org Wheeling Week 2012 is a great success and everyone that doesn't make it will be jealous enough to make the Classics of T4R.org Wheeling Week 2013.
I don't know if that title works, but it is what popped into my head. I don't really like the "Wheeling Week" part. Any ideas?

I'm sure if someone in one of those fancy plastic runners wanted to meet us, we would not turn them away. Personally I was hoping for about 5-10 1st and 2nd gens. Nice small group for some fun wheeling.

I agree with smaller groups. Yeah, it would be cool to meet more members, but for trail runs, too many rigs means too many delays, and you eventually end up not covering nearly the area you could've. Unless, if we have a lot show up, we divide into groups for the runs, then hook back up afterwards at camp to swap lies and tall tales. I'd be game for that, if more people want to open it up to everyone--I just don't like long trail parades.

Here are a few more detail shots of the various terrain you'll see out there, including some idea of the dropoffs from the trails--in one, you're looking down over the edge of Hurrah Pass trail, where just a couple feet from the door it's straight down; another is looking across at one of Onion Creek's tight curves with no rails.
