Cleaning Seats
For the most part a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth to buff it out. I have custom leather furniture in almost every room of my house and all of the brochures state it is best not to use cleaners and conditioners, as they embed in the pores of the leather and do not allow it to breath properly. Some of my furniture is almost 30 years old and still looks like new. So maybe there is something to their claim. I have had leather in my vehicles since the early 90's and I have lived in the Californa central valley where the summer sun and heat are horrible and the leather also held up nicely. My vehicles where garaged nightly and weekends, so that allowed some protection from the elements.

I use the Meguiar's......used it on my last black leather SUV in Florida, never a crack, never a rip, and soft as could be after 11 years. I see no reason to change!

I had a friend, had tan leather, car was 4 years old, seats were dried and cracked, he admitted to never using anything on them.

When I bought mine here in Florida, Feb 2010., it came with a bottle of "ToyoGuard", "Sealant Cleaner. I too have black Leather seats. This product is distributed by S.E. Toyota and I think the part number is
"000TG-00007" Just in case you want a Toyota product for your leather care.
I would have rather received a bottle of touch up paint!
I have not used this product to date, as I too use Meguiars. I think Meguiars works good, however I have not owned a car long enough to verify as to the long haul. As I am getting older, I suspect this will be my last truck. Sooooo, I can report back to you in another 10 years or so! :lmao:

I recently switched to the Zaino Brothers cleaner and treatment, Z9 and Z10. I have been very pleased with the results.

I was reading up on some of the post about this the other day. I decided with the Lexol cleaning/conditioner products and just put them to use yesterday on my seats. Gotta say, I am really pleased with this line of product. Even seems that some of the wrinkles got worked out when I got in it today. Only complaint (not really a complaint) this product leaves a scent trail but its almost like that new car/leather smell...not too difficult to deal with IMO. I was cleaning on blk leather.
Pro's: Great and easy to use product
Con's: Somewhat expensive (half a tank of gas) and finger cramps, but that'll come with just about anything you decide to use.

I used both Lexol leather leaner and conditioner and pleased with results. It's really sweltering hot in Houson, so gotta take care of the leather, as my wife will not!!!

I am by far an avid detailer, but I used this in my old car: Rejuvinator & P.C. Directions | Leatherique Restoration Products and it seemed to work pretty good?? I read about it on some detailing forum and lots of people were ranting and raving about it. It's a bit of a pain in the rear to apply though...
