Cleaning and Conditioning Softex Seats

Hey Guys,

I've been running around with the softex seats while offroading and they're getting dirty... how are you guys cleaning and conditioning the seats? Are there any products you use?

So far the only real thread I saw was this one:

I saw another thread referencing that thread too, so I guess that's the only help right now.

I remember reading that most people use leather cleaner and conditioner for the softext material.

Also interested in what people are using. I have read some use marine vinyl cleaner/conditioner.

I actually just use a micro-fiber cloth and water and just wipe it down.

Are those products the same as the Aerospace Protectant 303 stuff?

The 303 I've used on weathertechs does a great job, not sure about the softex surface...

The 303 Aerospace is highly recommended by the boat manufactures (according to local marine store) for use on their vinyl seating, so you should be gtg on your softex. The 303 is water based so it is not harmful to plastics, rubber, etc., so use it for those parts of your interior and exterior as well.

I use this as well.
I have a one year old daughter and a very drooly French mastiff so my interior needs frequent cleaning. This VLR stuff is pretty incredible.

Just used the aerospace 303 on my new 2016 sr5 premium and it works absolutely perfect! I've used it before on my boat with excellent results/look/protection.

I've used Meguiar's products since I had my Lexus - specifically for the seats I use their Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner.

My new-to-me 2011 Limited had this applied to its seats my first weekend of ownership.

Add another vote for Aerospace 303. Works great for dash, door panels, and softex. Have been using for 2 years with no side effects of discolorations. Like that things don't get the heavy oily/greasy feel with it that seems to be the way for ArmorAll and other protectants.

This... And a very highly diluted white vinegar mixture it has gotten everything up that a 3 year old, 1 year old and 50 lb mutt could throw at them (including the dreadful regurgitated breastmilk and and yogurt projectile vomit).

Softex is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

This is what I use and it works well. I don't think I would use a full leather product like Meguires leather conditioner and cleaner

My wife's camry has Softex and I use Chemical Guys InnerClear. Has UV protection in it, dust repellent, and cleans very well. Also you can wipe down electronics and the dashboard too. Oh and it has a nice pineapple smell.

I have been using Lexol on my Porsche and now on my Softex material in the 4Runner with no problems.
