Cleaning throttle body, ECU reset necessary?

My '05 SR5 has 178k miles, and cold idles around 1000rpm; smoothly and with no hesitation. Acceleration is also quick and smooth. MAFS was just cleaned.
I was going to clean the throttle body but I've read that, unless the engine runs poorly and/ or gas mileage is poor, it is not necessary. Additionally, resetting the ECU is required.
Should I go ahead and thoroughly clean the throttle body and, is disconnecting the battery's negative terminal to reset the ECU, necessary?

You must be psychotic, because I found that same video not five minutes before seeing your reply!
I believe the guy in the video said the ECU will relearn on its own following the cleaning, so I am going to leave the battery connected.
